The calming aids are not to calm them from being hyper... it's supposed to help in situation like separation anxiety or any other situation that makes a dog anxious (cars, vets, etc). Like someone else said, yorkies are natural mental cases. I don't know how old your yorkie is, but if he is still a puppy, then he's going to have a lot of energy. It's natural and I'd let him be and enjoy his youthful energy.
