I am so sorry to hear about your baby....I could just imagine how you must feel, because I have'nt even had Nemo Rabies done yet, but he will be going in on the 18th of Apr to be fixed and I was told that he would have to have his rabies, and some other shot, before they would do the operation, and it just made me nervous, but I will be asking a lot of questions, now that I have read your post, it will be very informative for other yorkie, and small breed owners on this site who are not familiar with side effects that some of this shots could have on their dogs....I was told by a friend whose husband is a vet that it is not necessary to have all the vaccinations that your vet claims your dog need, and she said definitely not as often, and informed me about the Lepto shot when I first got him, and how dangerous it could be.....
I think I am going to go call to talk to the Vet that will be doing Nemo's surgery, so I can find out what type of anesthesia they will be using.....
