I would definitely NOT rather have my babies sit in a cage at the vet while I am off having fun. They might be safe, but they'd be miserable. Sometimes you have to let go of the leash, so to speak and chill!!! I would never ever even think about leaving them with her if I didn't trust her (and her mom, as I know she'll be helping out) 100% completely.

Sorry, just had to say it. I'm likely one of the younger ones on this board at 28, and I still get grouped into those fun age classifications all the time. Just wanted to remind people to base their decisions on the PERSON, not on how old they are. There sure are a whole lot of immature 19 year olds out there, but there are some who are more mature and better mothers (both skin and fur) than a whole crap load of 40 year olds. I work in public health, I see neglectful parents everyday. Actually, I think working in public health has helped me to stop those age classifications myself. You can be immature and neglectful at any age... and so many are.
I totally agree. I have a 17 year old cousin who is more responsible than some 30 year olds I know. I definitely think she deserves 25.00 a day. I am sure she will be very happy with that too!
