My pups also have excellent teeth ... no tartar or anything. The vet marvels at their teeth and always tells me to keep up the good work with the brushing and all - and I've never brushed their teeth, not once. And they're pushing 3. To Uni's Mommy, it's high protein, but it's grain free, so it's all animal protein (the good stuff), not vegetable protein (the stuff that's not so good for dogs). The local store only carries the Bison/Venison and Wild Salmon; I haven't noticed the Duck.
But it's a GREAT food. Pricey, but this is definitely a case where you get what you pay for. And my pups don't eat great quantities of it, because their little bodies utilize it better, so they eat less and poop less. In the long run, it's actually less expensive than cheaper dog foods.
Charmed239, I'm pleased to hear that it's done so well for your pups. It's always a good thing when something "works", isn't it? | I just meant duck in general, not TOTW duck. So veggie protein is not so good for dogs? I didn't know that. Why is that?
