Maxine was 2 1/2 years old (Yorkie) when we got Carlo (Cane Corso 120 pounds). Yes, he was 17 pounds at 9 weeks, and was a little ball of fire. We kept them seperate when we were away, and gradually introduced them to one another. For some reaon he just knew to be gentle with her, and other small dogs. We still kept them seperate unless we were around as he could inadvertantly stepped on her. We have never had a problem. We still worry then they both go running to the door, but so far, Maxine has never hurt him! |
