I am totally stumped on a reasonable price to offer a friends daughter to watch my dogs for a few days this summer. My brother (whom we see maybe once a year) is coming in August, and we along with my parents want to do 3 or 4 day trips, and my friends daughter (starting college next year, so older and very responsible) is hopefully gonna pup sit. They will be long days... mid morning until late night. I was thinking $20 a day but I'm not sure if that's too cheap? I mean, it's not as though she has to be with them ALL the time, they can be left for a few hours - I just don't want them alone all day long. Would $30 be a more respectable rate for the day? I don't really wanna go any higher than that as the day trips themselves are already gonna be expensive.

Am I being too cheap??? I want the best care for them, I want it to be fun for them too so they aren't sad all day that I'm gone.
