Oh my, ya never know what you are going to see on Yorkie Talk. Just saw this thread and read most of it.... interesting. I had no idea of the over population of hogs in Texas and the damage they do. We should send some troops of Hawaiian boys over there; wild pig hunting is a popular sport here, but there aren't so many of them.
They cook them in an imu pit, buried in the ground wrapped in banana leaves, and then have Kalua Pork, a favorite local and luau food.
So how does the taste of wild hog differ from pork we get at the grocery store? I assume it is not as fatty, and probably not as juicy tender?? |
