I don't think that rule applies to Yorkies lol...As least not mine...Both mine sleep w/me, and they, totally, know I'm the pack leader...And I do get the best place to sleep...I sleep in the middle, and they sleep on either side of me ...About the possessive/protective rule...I've not noticed a possessive/protective attribute in my two...Mine are so outgoing, this wouldn't pertain...I've had this alpha issue in a large breed dog, specifically, a rhodesian ridgeback...Beautiful dog, but I wouldn't own another...
