I agree. I went on an Elk Hunt once out West. I just could not bring myself to shoot, especially since I knew I could not get him out as we were in the high country, and no way my wife would let me put a head on the wall. I only do hogs, and only because there are millions of them and they are destroying the land. Also could not do an exotic, just to say that I took down a Rhino or a Lion. Turkey, Pigeons, and Hogs. Anyone know of anyone that took a Hog with just a knife? A Bow is hard enough....a 30-06 or 308 is the best, with a 25-06 as a nice back-up. Many will just jump right back up after being hit, and start running. I have been shooting all my life, and refined it in the Corps. I was amazed the first time it happened to me.
