The bulk of them are in the SE part of the state. Yes, millions of them there. One time around Corsicana, I counted over 100 Hogs within one square block. Even up as far North as Greenville they have been spotted. A menace. Hog is one critter that you can take as many as you want with your license. They are mostly in the South. THis whole problem with them started years ago, about 25 years ago, when a Pig Farmer down there imported some large Russian Boars. He figured he would mate his pigs to them and develop a super sized pig with more meat, and more value. Well, some of them broke out of the pens, got lose, mated, and the rest is history. A Hog can start mating at 6-9 months, and can have litters as large as 20. They start adding up real fast.

No, you really can't get a baby hog and raise it as a pot bellied Pig. They can get up to 400+ pounds grow long tusks, and are mean. They will attack if they feel threatened. I can tell stories of just how tough they are, but it might be too much for the squeemish.
