Keep in mind Jackson is a larger Yorkie and I know what he can handle, what he likes, when to stop things, etc. I can read him really well. I think if I had a Yorkie smaller than 5 or 6lbs, I'd be more cautious for sure. I think you ultimately have to know your own dog first, and be sure you can form trust and respect between yourself and the bigger dog as well. I would never let Jackson into a dog park full of 10-30 big dogs, it's just too unsafe and he would have no fun. I have no problems with him playing one-on-one with a larger dog. |
