nah he is not doomed - just stay positive he did not have the raspberry poop so not hge so that is not what is going on.
Get her to consult with specialists though so they can brain storm on how to get him out of the woods quickly.
our vet had a sign up with a racoon on it and stated distemper has she ruled this out as that can be ruled out with fecal as well - Just throwing out any possibility that comes to my mind to make sure everything has been ruled out so not trying to confuse you but trying to think of anything and everything affecting this breed.
