he needs to have his anal glads expressed by a vet since it appears to be swollen. You don't want to do it yourself or have a groomer do it in case the glad ruptures. It may be infected or impacted. Or it might not be related to the anal glad at all. Not sure if it warrants a ER visit, that is up to you.
