I finally found something that worked. I put him in a sit, and as I said down, I gently pulled his front legs with one hand to slide him into a down. As soon as he was down, I would give him a treat with the other hand. After much repetition, I would do the same thing, remove my hand and if he stayed in the down without me holding the legs, he got the treat. Eventually he didn't need my help and does down all by himself now. |
