Use a metal comb and pin head brush to remove mats..he may fight and cry because of the tangles..first use a spray condition for detangling and gently work through to the skin to remove dead hair and mats..you may have to do a few sections at a time until all is done..make the sessions short at first of he is matted...then comb to the skin once a day..get him used to grooming.

Never bath a matted puppy..the water will set the knots worse. Get him use to a dryer and and good conditioner after the shampoo will help..protect hsi ears from water..you can use baby wipes inbetween baths...I bath my pups once a week..and you can use a nice spray freshner to make him smell good...

At hsis age his coat wil not be too long and fluffy...by 12 to 16 he should be a fur ball depending on his genetic's..
