For long term, you might try working on sit-stays. Get them to sit and stay while a visitor enters the home and sits down. Treat for success and release them once the visitor is seated. |
Cooper never really had a crate or x-pen. I didn't use one for training & it probably was a mistake. I'll also admit that he's not the best stayer. He'll do anything for a treat, but once that treat is out of my hand it's game over.
