I have only one comment and that's about the food being left out in a trailer. I'm not sure what effect it would have on the food short term, but I think it's safe to say it's certainly less than ideal for long term storage. I would like to think that the food had been kept in a climate controlled environment, but that's probably asking too much

OUR food we don't want to hear, either.
I do know that many boutique brands of dog food are sold through independent distributors. They typically use the little rental metal storage facilities for keeping their food. These are usually not climate controlled and would be no better than the food sitting in a trailer.
Interesting question, though. What IS the effect of storage temperature on dog food?
