Sorry about your pup, I don't trust mine to let them sit on my shoulders you never know with this little ones, I will take him to vet asap, and at least have some xray done, also, a metal playpen with pads (washables if he destroy the disposable ones) water, food and bed, will be better until he is completely potty train, than be cage, while you are gone, unless the vet tell you that he need to be crate to limit his mobilities, while he is getting better, but you will need him to take him out to potty, jmo
