specific meat meals are fine... like "chicken meal" or "lamb meal", this is the protein source MINUS its water... so it is actually better for one of these to be at the top of an ingredient list.
If the first ingredient for example is "chicken" once the moisture is removed it moves farther down on the list. If the first ingredient is "chicken meal" it stays put.
the problem is ONLY when you have unspecified "meat meal".
