Demodex eggs can be seen in fecals. Whether a diagnosis of demo overload is made on it is up to the vet. I'm guessing most would take the wait and see approach unless symptoms became apparent. A skin scraping could always be done to confirm, but since demo are normal in dog (to a certain extent), some vets aren't going to treat unless symptoms appear.
