I'm sorry that the breeding went so badly and mom is ok - it could easily been worse.
good for you telling people it isn't easy and all sorts of unforseen things can happen. Losing puppies is bad enough but losing the mom is even harder - you were very lucky and I hope people read this and think twice about putting their females at risk. Many breeds go well but when they don't - it's heartbreaking and painful for the moms
