ok, it seems to work when i zip the zipper up to the top so that she can't reach it without raising up on 2 legs. i don't think she can work with it for long enough to unzip it from there, but i only left her for a couple hours. we'll see
thanks for all the suggestions. she did destroy a good bit of the carpet, but maybe i can have it repaired with some carpet from the closet....
good thing she's so durn cute
