I never buy dog things from the dollar store. I looked at their dishware once and there was a "Warning" sticker on it. "Chemicals on this dish may cause cancer, not intended for consumable use" I can't even imagine what's on their plastic dog dishes from China. I only buy books or paper stuff for my class or well known, brand name food items.
I warned this couple who was about to purchase a full set of dishes....showed them the warning stcker. They quickly put them back. I suggested Target if they really wanted a inexpensive safe dish set.
