Hey guys, sorry so late to this, just got online now and haven't read all replies yet, but I agree, ER vet now! It is not good to have him hold it for so long. I don't agree with the vet discharging him so soon after surgery. Katie was at the hospital for 3 days just to flush out her system first before sx and another 2 days after for observation. She had the catheder(sp?) so I didn't see how she peed in the 2 days after sx, but once we got home she was fine. The first day or so the urine was a little off colored (darker than usual) but the 2nd day was back to regular yellow.
Also male and female dogs usually get different kind of stones, so I don't know how much knowledge I have that may help. but, the doctor didn't xray after surgery? katie's did to show all stones were removed. What medications were given?
