I would not breed again until I got a better idea of what happened. Did the vet do a necropsy? How was her physical condition before breeding and leading up to the whelping? Was there an infection, fever..was her stool negative before breeding? I would want a smear taken from other bitches to check for any infections or viruses..herpes etc...just to be safe.
