You really do need to keep him quiet since its so soon after 3 Major surgeries. He needs to be on crate rest for a few days at least. it is still too early for him to be out and about. carry him around if you want but he should not be running, playing, doing stairs, jumping, or on furniture in case he jumps off. With the pain meds, sometimes i think its best for them to be slightly in pain so that they realize they need to rest. If he feels great then he's gonna think everything is ok and he might injure himself.
