I agree with it depends on the age and size of the dog. When Teegy was little I would lift him up and tuck him in my housecoat or cardigan and I wouldn't encourage him onto the furniture, he would lay in his bed beside me. He would then sit at my feet if he wanted up for snuggles. I never allowed him onto my bed, he slept in his own beside mine, but one morning I woke up and he was asleep beside me on my pillow. He gets lots of exercise, so his little muscles have likely strengthened and he's now nine months and jumps up and down quite safely. I must add there is nothing sweeter than waking up to find his little face on the pillow next to me, I'm a big suck. |
