Lordy. Sometimes I learn more here. I'll do the diet change on my own. I hope he knows what he's talking about. I will say he's taken excellent care of all my dogs and assures me he takes care of several liver dogs.
I'm going to see if we have any internists around here. I live in WV so I am doubtful.

That is really great news! I'm so glad that you stayed calm and focused while listening to your vet! That is why they attend Veterinary School.

If it was really warm out I could see that a drop in blood sugar would have caused what happened. Your are such a good momma to your Lucy.
