She was re-homed twice. The second time I placed her with a single woman, no other animals, no kids (she is 52) and divorced. But when she took her out to go potty she attacked a man and then attacked another man who came to her apartment. She broke skin on him.
Yes she is spayed. I do not believe she wants to be "alpha" I think she has some serious issues, her brain just doesn't seem like it is wired right. I have talked to the guy who asked us to take her and he says she NEVER liked men, but in no way was she ever abused.
She was fine with him, and she is fine with my husband. Except the other day when I was sleeping and he came in to tell her to stop barking and she lunged at him, wouldn't let him near me...That was the first time she had ever done that.
I wish I could get all this on video but in the heat of the moment I am to busy trying to deal with her..
