Lizzie is a rehome. I have fostered and placed Italian Greyhounds for more than ten years and when I heard about Lizzie, then met her, I got involved. Her owner was going to return her to the breeder if she couldn't find a home for her. The breeder the woman got Lizzie from, actually hadn't bred her but was an internet reseller, and she sold quite a few different breeds of dogs, all small. I decided I would take Lizzie and either turn her into rescue or place her myself. I kept her instead. I was the little L's third home. She's a pistol!

The first picture is of Lizzie laying on top of one of my rescue IGs, Angie. I had been sitting in the chair with the little blue dog on my lap, another IG rescue. You can't tell in the picture, really, but she is one of the worse looking IGs I have ever seen, which she makes up for with a personality that makes her adorable. She has no teeth (they were rotted out), two legs that had been broken and left to heal on their own, and she has a deformed rib cage. Within an hour of getting P, she was mine forever. The next picture is of my first two IGs, the black and seal girls, Gracie and Opal, both 15 yrs old, and two rescues. The little red female was Pita, who passed in Feb from a brain tumor, at age 16. The larger red male is Monty. He lived the first 5 or so years outside 24/7. He was a mess, but life is good for him now, and he is about the same age as G & O.
