Right now I bathe her every two weeks but when I do that it washes all of the flea medication out. then she's unprotected until the next month. How often can she get bathed. We live in Louisiana and due to the heat and humidity I have to worry about the fleas, etc when she is unprotected. I need some help from those of you who I'm sure have encountered the same problem.
Thanks,Bessie E.
What are you bathing her with? You can try an oatmeal-based shampoo (off the counter) or ask your vet for a special shampoo to help stop the itching. You should also discuss flea treatment with your vet to find the best one for your yorkie. There are several once a month treatments. I don't know about all of the kinds available but you usually are not supposed to shampoo them for 3 days before or after the treatment I use. Good luck to you! Hope you enjoy YT. It's lots of fun and there is a lot of help available here for you whenever you have questions concerning your little yorkie.
