When we first got Charlie, he wasn't eating really. When I brought him to the vet, the vet said not to worry that when he gets hungry enough he'll eat. But of course I still worried. I'd put some food in my hand (beside the dog food bowl) and he would eat from my hand. After he would eat a few bites from my hand, then he'd eat from the bowl. I think he was just a little nervous.

He's still not a big eater. And I'm probably ruining him because I add something to his food at every meal (not a lot but enough to make him want to eat.)

Congratulations on your new family member. I'm sure you'll end up having lots of fun.
