I agree that it sounds like "demand barking" as well. I don't want to go pick him up because he will think that he can bark and I will cater to him. We've tried to leave him alone and ignore him as much as possible, but we do live in an apartment and I don't want to disturb everyone
I know that it isn't a case of him not getting enough attention and play because we give him plenty of attention, but as you all know - you can't be with them all the time. Truly, it's not that bad, but I hate to hear him sound upset and then I feel bad if I ignore him.
