Default Cookie has laryngitis

My Cookie lost her voice a few days ago. She is a very vocal girl but this has never happened before, so I don't think it is from strain. I know allergies are bad this year and she has had more occurences of reverse sneeze lately, so it could be that.

Anyway....just wondering if anyone else has had this happen? And....if so, HOW did you keep them quiet? haha She is still yapping and she needs to rest her voice.

I did take her to the vet the other day. She had a cortisone injection and was put on hydroxizine, but yesterday it persisted; so the vet started her on antibiotics. If she is not improved by the beginning of the week the next step will be an xray. I have such a fear that this could be a tumor. Of course, we will scope her if she does not improve, but that is not top on the list to do right now. She does not have any difficulty swallowing or breathing, so perhaps it is just a sore throat...or she strained it.

Please say prayers for my Cookie.
