Oh my dear, you are young and have much to learn. I think it is wonderful that you care so much about your little girl and doing the research and doing what is best for her. She is very lucky to have you.
That said you must realize that no reputable breeder would ever let their puppy go to a pet store. What's that leave you with? Unreputable breeders, puppy mills.
Of course they are going to deny any association with puppy mills, have you ever heard of anyone admitting to it? It makes sense for them to deny it, otherwise they would lose all their business.
And having a breeder's name, the parents name means nothing. All registries require this. And often times you will see their siblings there as puppy millers sell whole litters to pet stores.
No it doesn't necessarily mean she will end up sick and die but you just never know what will happen as no thought was given as to the genetics and health of her parents. Some puppy mill dogs live perfectly healthy normal lives while others don't, there is just no way of knowing which it will be, it's like playing russian roulette. Just love her and care for her and try not to worry about the future, do the best you can for her, it is all you can do.
