I'm glad you can be forgiving, I think so many of us are on the same page, and Megansmama, I really think mommaofmia was feeling attacked, it doesn't mean she was attacked, but if someone is feeling that way, they aren't going to hear what you are saying. There are so many wonderful people here and I think we all want the same thing, we want dogs to be found and taken care of, and good homes found for them if their original owners can't be found. Mommaofmia did find a new home, perhaps a little too soon, but she explains to me, she was afraid that her son would get a little too attached, and probably herself, as well. She and the new caretaker are trying to locate the owner, and this is what I needed to know.
We have a sticky on what to do if your dog is lost, but maybe we need one on what to do if you find a dog? What are all the steps we should take before we can place a dog in a new home?
