Wow! I have been on vacation for 5 days and I cannot believe people are still commenting on what the OP should and shouldn't have done. I am just glad this baby is being taken care of and getting love which is what we all want for this baby. I do not think you have to be in rescue to have the instinct to know if someone will be a good home for an animal even if is temporary, and that is what this OP did. I volunteer at a shelter and they are extremely picky on where their dogs and cats go and yet many are returned because they didn't potty train perfectly, they have a minor health issue or they just don't want the pet anymore. I see their faces week in and week out when they are sitting in a cage scared and wondering what they did do end up here. So I would rather have one of my babies in the arms of a loving person than sitting in a cage scared to death. JMO. |
