Do not give them garlic for ticks. A Yorkie can probably tolerate a very small amount of cooked garlic in cooked food every once in a while (example... a little tiny bit of pesto with whole grain pasta and chicken). I have some dog cookbooks that have garlic in recipes and it's a very small amount. But... I would not give a small Yorkie raw garlic or any large amounts of cooked garlic because it can be toxic.
