no - a good protection will keep it running smoothly - there's just so many things nowadays that will mess up your computer - one program now isn't enough. I just got malwarebytes and deleted my a-squared - it found one problem but I'm having puter issues so will be running more scans tonight
i do think you need the ones mentioned if you want protection - as I said - one good program will not pick up all - so you need multiple for the different things that affect the system.
