It can happen in seconds, and you will not be able to pull them apart without doing some major damage. I didn't know about this, so I'm assuming others don't know. You can't always tell when your little girl is in season; some girls hide all evidence. Also since he has liver issues, there's a good chance his offspring could inherit this, please don't allow your little girl to play with him until she's fixed. Many states have laws against tying a dog up all day; perhaps you should call your local ASPCA?
