Default Neighbor's intact male yorkie...I have questions

I just met a new neighbor with an adorable male Yorkie. I actually stopped him in the street to say hello. Anyway, we got to talking the second time we met and his little guy is 2 years old, and 4 lbs of precious.
He is also not neutered and he mentioned that a woman had been asking them to let her use their pet to breed with her MORKIE and the guy didn't know if he would or not. This fellow is a senior citizen and not very dog savvy even if he does have a darling dog.
I advised him not to start letting anyone use his dog for breeding just to be breeding. My personal opinion is that unless you are a breeder you don't want a fully intact male running around that has gotten to breed before but isn't going to get to do it often. I think they mark more and may even develop other issues. If you aren't breeding for very good reason why do it at all. I told him the woman with the female has something to gain by selling the pups but unless he wants a pup or needs the stud fee (which I know he doesn't) he won't gain anything. Also unless there is an experienced person there to supervise the breeding there could be problems.
Am I right?
Do any of you have good thoughts for me to pass on to this nice guy so he can turn this woman down and not feel bad about it?
