I know Suzie Merrick personally from some volunteer work, and have met Garth a time or two. I have been to the plant and even seen the kennel of dogs they use to test their foods on (the dogs are treated more like pets than test subjects, and I don't want to describe what all the "testing" involves--it's not cruel, it's just gross). The Merricks are really good people--they give a lot of time and money to many different local charities. Of course, that doesn't necessarily mean their food is good, but I tend to trust good people.
I feed Bilbo BG because he was having issues with dry skin and itching, and his skin problems cleared up after a week or two on the food. And he loves it, which is really a big change since he always turned up his nose at kibble before. I get the small bags for $2.50 at the groomers. |
