Avoidance is better called good management and is a good part of rehab as it does not allow the dog to practice and ingrain more the bad habits. SO GOOD JOB!
So you know if you want to make changes the brain in a dog is not hard wired and still very changeable up to 3 years for most dogs. Mine we got luck and she changed up into the later years but think it is more to do with use just re forcing and giving her down time to absorb... that is my theory not science based.
I glad Mindy is going to stay where she is and have great life.
