 Litter box/papertrain/outside
I did'nt try the litter box because I've read too many stories of failed attempts. I tried training my yorkie to go outside but he had sooooo many accidents inside on our rug.I was very consistant for 3 weeks. I know it takes much longer than 3 weeks. But it failed horribly . He would poop outside easily because he would stand and start scratching on the sliding glass doors. But when it came time to pee he just peed anywhere,usually right in front of the doors. So at least he tried a few times .
I finally decided to papertrain and bought a pack of those "hospital bed pads" from Walmart.They are the same type as the pet wee pads and cost a whole lot less! I let him pee somewhere and rubbed the pad over the pee and placed it near our glass doors. The next time he had to pee he went directly to the pad and peed on it! Then he pooped on it too! And it took me like 1 week to see results and 2 weeks to have him 99% trained! He still has accidents but not often.
