I bought a couple dozen small wash clothes and use them.
I fold them over several times (forming a long narrow strip) and wrap them around my puppy. I overlap them on top and secure them firmly on top with a darling diaper pin.
I like these. They are folded over enough that they are very absorbent. And I can just throw them in the washing machine with the rest of my laundry.
They come in lots of colors and are "almost free." They really do work well.

That is a GREAT idea!! We started using the belly band for Bailey and Charlie since we got our carpets cleaned a few weeks ago and I'm not happy with the ones I purchase. I'll try the wash clothes!!! Thanks much!!
