This is probably the last time I will post to this thread- because it is way too painful to keep reading. Randi I have reviewed your website, seen the photos, and read every word on the home page. I see that you have referenced UGA vet school, and other vets/neuro surgeon in atl area. I do not live far from you. My vet right here in the seat of Athens Ga immediately sent me to Upstate Vet Hospital in Greenville, SC...skipping over the uga vet school, because Upstate has have two guru surgeons for AAI pets. I have walked the AAI road with Ellie since mid January. I have walked the valley of death with Ellie numerous times, and with amazing emotional support and education about AAI we have learned to take one day at a time. We have placed dozens of emergency vet phone calls, and neuro sureon calls for the smallest of fears. Specifically- when Ellie yelps, or cried, or acted uncomfortable. Not for one second can I imagine such an innocent precious helpless baby go into a "SCREAMING" zone- nor can i imagine a Vet instructing to take steroids and hope she gets better. It isn't adding up. I pray you can find a way to get her IMMEDIATE relief...whatever that relief may need to be to ease her PAIN. This puppy is in PAIN if she is screaming. Can you at least get her to a new vet for a new opinion? one that specializes in AAI? I do NOT understand why she is not in a body brace right this very second...she is not just going to "heal" on her own without the neck support required to fuse her scar tissue. I feel like I am repeating myself on all of this in Roriee's behalf. I cannot stand hearing any more about the pain this puppy is said to be in So i shall now quietly PRAY for Roriee.
