Petsmart training is totally dependent on the trainer, many years ago I threw money away there with a terrible trainer... however, they recently got a new trainer and I was looking to take some lessons with Armani so I went and spoke with her... she has three yorkies of her own and she understands the issue with collars and allows you to train on a harness. She was wonderful... we took a private class with her since I had already taught him the basics that he would have learned in a beginner class and we went over specific things that I had been having a hard time teaching him and it was wonderful. Taking some training classes with your dog is a great idea, just make sure that you agree with the methods and that it is fun for you and your dog.
