I was not so fortunate with Petsmart when Buddy was 6mos old.
Our trainer was worthless and I threw money away but they are
all different. Perhaps you can ask who the trainer is then look him
up and see exactally how good he is.
Buddy is now 6yrs old and I have been working with a trainer due to
his guarding issues, which are now resolved but will always be in him.
I now know how to keep them buried so they don't appear.
However, I have joined him in group sessions starting mid May. I want
him around larger dogs outside of our complex. He's afraid of large dogs
and would do the same as your little one did, not knowing what could happen
to him he would just go after them to show them he's not afraid, meanwhile
they could kill him. I am hoping the sessions will relax him and make him
not afraid. If your not pleased with the trainer at Petsmart look for a private
one on line in your area. That's how I found ours. It was well worth the
money.
Good luck,
