Cry Cushings Disease....

We were told about a lady that was moving and couldn't take her Yorkie with her. When we went to see the yorkie we found a little 3lb girl with no hair, her mom had her sister and one other female yorkie and said that this one just couldn't go with her and that she had cushings disease. Kia stole my heart immediately. She has no hair on hair on her torso and was pretty weak. Straight to the vet we went and came away from there with meds for the cushings, prednisone in case she won't eat, and the promise she will get better. Does anyone know anything about this disease? We have had her a month now, she is stronger, we have had to adjust the mitotane but finally have a dose she can take. Right now she is on an antibiotic for her teeth, she has to have all of them removed! She is 9 years old btw. She just sleeps all day long, only gets up to eat and go outside to pee. (She is totally potty trained!) I wonder if she is depressed because she doesn't have her sister and the other dog? Or her original mom? I feel so bad for her!! How could anyone leave this little girl? She lets us hold her but isn't really interested in staying on our laps for long, we have other dogs, small ones, two other yorkies, all of our dogs have accepted her just fine, she just won't interact with any of them or us. When will she get her hair back?
