I prefer these examples of reverse sneeze ... what you are describing really sounds like it....

nothing like a reverse sneeze. A reverse sneeze is a lot of inhalations...while CT is more of a cough...air being pushed out. The honk is just like a goose...if you have ever heard them flying above you.
